Swim training in open water may be different due to the conditions, but the approach to training should be the same as pool training. Train as you intend to race – always!
These sessions will focus on aerobic fitness, muscular endurance and movement efficiency that is truly effective for open water swimming! Other open water skills such as sighting, drafting and open water confidence will be discussed and perfected.
Sessions will be suitable for all levels, using a controlled area of water to keep the group working together and close to Matt for coaching input. No one gets left behind, everyone works together.
Multiple MoT athletes have dramatically changed their swim ability and taken their performance to the next level – qualifying and racing at European and World Championship level (ITU, ETU, Ironman and 70.3).
The group size will be limited to 10 per session. This will allow Matt to have a high level of interaction and provide the coaching input you desire! Expect to learn and progress in this close and friendly atmosphere.
A selection of Zoot wetsuits can be provided to test; make sure to message Matt beforehand to arrange a trial.
